I have been thinking again recently that I really need to overhaul this site as it is looking old again. I have also been thinking that I have never really found the right balance with my blog, I can’t decide if I should blog about technical and web bits like a mate of mine Phil or if I should just post about personal events. I’m guessing I should probably blog about both. Also recently I have been getting into twitter as a way to post short updates between blog posts. One thing I would like to add to this site is a lifestream that pulls data from my various online accounts and displays it here as an aggregated feed. Yongfook does this on his site and does it very well. Then I got thinking with my increased presence on other sites like twitter, last.fm and linkedin etc I link all these sites back to hpoom but I do not have a decent about me page on hpoom. So another thing to add to the to-do list a proper about me page.

The other thing I am contemplating at the moment is if I know enough about web technologies to do extra work outside of my job at Holiday Extras. The kind of work I am thinking about is speaking about web technologies and solutions or consulting my knowledge in these areas to anybody that would like to pay me for my knowledge. I think now with over 9 years of Web Development experience that I do know enough to consult in these areas. Anyway I have written about it here now so that might spur me on to look into this more.

OK one last thing to balance all the tech talk above. Isaac is still doing really well. Being a Dad is great especially when you get in from work and Isaac gives me a big smile. I will post an Isaac update soon with some more pictures.
